Practicum Student Danica Kaplan, RN Danica is a registered nurse psychotherapist (College of Nurses of Ontario #19172422), and a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO #19705). She is joining Riven Psychology for a short term practicum to become fully certified with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). About Danica Danica takes a holistic approach to counselling, attending to both mind and body. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems/parts work, and Somatic Experiencing to help clients with mood, anxiety, relational and esteem issues, trauma, and life transitions. Her approach emphasizes one’s relationship to the self in order to foster self-acceptence and sense of worth. She has worked/trained in a variety of settings, including an acute psychiatric facility, a women’s health clinic, and community counselling and psychology practices.
